This position provides installation, service, and support for GBS Solution applications, Healthcare, and other industries. The position requires basic understanding of hardware, software, and product knowledge covering the full spectrum of offerings for the purpose of implementing highly customized solutions in a live customer environment.


  • Assist with Client Services help desk support as needed and any resolution of Tier 1/Tier 2 support calls.
  • Installation and configuration of various application and operating systems including but not limited to Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and any offered or customized application software as it relates to i-Tech Solutions on various hardware platforms.
  • Assist with on-site installation, design, and support of i-Tech Solutions application software and offerings.
  • Assist with testing, setup, integration, and troubleshooting as needed any of the following applicable technologies: servers, workstations, switches, routers, firewalls, printers, scanners, backup solutions, wireless connectivity, and power management.
  • Assist with Microsoft SQL Administrative tasks; assist with troubleshooting SQL jobs. SQL scripting knowledge not required.
  • Perform software maintenance and upgrades as required.
  • Provide administrative level customer training.
  • Assist in continued product and solutions growth through new product testing, research, and development.
  • Identify and recommend improvements and opportunities that are consistent with customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with clients.
  • Participate as needed in regularly scheduled customer reviews and team meetings.
  • Provide technical product assistance to customers, project services, client services and sales as needed.
  • Coordinate meetings and installation schedules as needed.
  • Provide on-site customer training when required.
  • Work with case and project management system to track all support cases and implementations.
  • Manage time, resources and project tasks associated with i-Tech Solutions applications and offerings.
  • Obtain and maintain any necessary vendor or industry certifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or assumes additional responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements)

  • A high school diploma.
  • Equivalent industry experience.
  • Understanding of GBS' culture, products, processes and services.
  • Effective people and customer service skills.
  • Hardware knowledge with either CompTIA A+ certification and/or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work within and support a team.
  • Ability to organize work tasks and communicate them to both the customer and the project team.
  • Ability to function individually at a customer installation utilizing a pre-defined scope of work.
  • Certification and/or equivalent experience working with the following is a plus:
    • Windows Server operating systems (2003 and later)
    • Server Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare)
    • Server management (OS, Group Policy, Security, Administration)
  • Basic understanding of blade, rack, and tower servers.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft products (Office, O365, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of networking.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% within a local radius to customers.
